We live in a time where you can speak to people in different parts of the world and a different time zones with the touch of a button. We live in a time where you can speak to those people, face-to-face.; how ironic that we have forgotten how to make human connections

I heard someone refer to "visits" recently; he was curious if people still do that. Nothing formal, just come-as-you-are, sit on the couch and chew the fat. Talking about trivial stuff one minute, something serious the next. "That's an interesting knick-knack on the shelf." "Let me tell you the story behind it..." — and you're off for the next hour. That relaxed, cozy, in-home dynamic isn't a requirement for connection, nor does it guarantee a connection, but I do think it helps.

Maybe people view this differently based on socioeconomic status, culture, generation, or simply personality and personal preference, i.e.: people who are more into that vibe than others.
