Anna this was such an enjoyable read - mixing the poetry with the science was brilliant and in reading that first actually put me in right brain mode only to have to switch to left brain for the rest of the article - at the end it felt like a fully formed realization. Oh. And yes I do miss writing on paper, only now I substitute my iPad and pencil; not quite the same but still...
Thank you for your reflections, @brian it's so rewarding -as an author AND as a psychologist- to understand what processes people experience by engaging with the ideas. Actually (shhh!) I really like this piece, too! LOL
Anna, your poetry has such a distinct character to it. It's as clear and concrete as prose, but without sacrificing the fluidity, imagery, and other qualities that make poetry beautiful and distinguishable from prose. Although the subject matter is different, this reminded me of your poem Foreign Lands.
"We become more comfortable with conflicting or contrary information, knowing that two or more things can hold true simultaneously." Love this line and appreciate how you chose to link it to the value older employees can bring. Great article from start to finish — enjoyable and loads to take away.

Love this! Great article Anna.
Thank you, @Vernon! The poem was "given" to me - inspired by the empty page, you could say!
