I've always seen myself as the turtle in Aesop's fable about the turtle and the hare, so it's reassuring to hear that going slow and simplifying things can still be a formula for successful learning.

It was concerning at first, then I realized I definitely can still learn, but it's a different process now and I need to alter my approach accordingly. So for me, simplifying and going slow is essential. But I do find I'm able to appreciate and enjoy the learning process itself more. And slowing down allows me to integrate more into the learning experience, which enriches and enhances the experience; and I actually come away with a lot more.
