Still thinking about this article. It’s very honest. Plenty to ponder, notably: “it certainly helps to ascertain where you are positioned in the grand scheme of things” and "What really separates them is power." So relevant and applicable in so many contexts, beyond the workplace.
Interesting that you should post this today, as this morning I was thinking about Canada's cultural norms - one being the removal of shoes in homes. Yes, it's unfortunate that for something that's so "insidious, invisible, and created in the spaces between people with unequal access to power and privilege" so many are left on their own and told to "watch and learn,,, how it's done around here."
