The man who would be king
Has no fear of anything
Allegations
Accusations
Wild assertions
Of things said and done
Nothing sticks to the Teflon don
Never accused of being faithful
Called uncouth and often disgraceful
But nothing sticks and its foregone
To the elusive Don Juan
Not to be trusted in personal dealings
He’d sooner betray you or toy with your feelings
Liar
Swindler
Cheater
Thief
Narcissistic trickster
Causing all manner of grief
Godly men making deals with the devil
Will surely put their souls in peril
But they do not care in their lust for control
They wantonly risk their souls to Sheol
They have all confidently lost their way
Many of them have now fallen prey
Adulterer
Fraudster
Crook
Conspirator
Callous misogynist
Disguised as philanthropist
The republic, they say has lost its direction
Lost touch with their God, lost the connection
They hearken back to days halcyon
That will soon be restored by the coming don
They quote “scripture” so they cannot be villains
Even when they’re willing to sacrifice children
Bibles
Crosses
Churches
Priests
Commandments by ten
Shall be their defence
We care not for your bodies only your souls
It’s okay to suffer, remember “he’s in control”
Yes “ge will deliver us” but he’s taking His time
We’ll just help him along, it must be his design
They claim for all eternity he is always the same
That doesn’t stop them from changing the game
Devout
Godly
Pious
Violent aggressors
Of a loving creator
The irony is chilling, when you’re outside looking in
Most people might not know where to begin
How could things become so warped and perverted
Those messages of love have been subverted
I am sure there are many who will be offended
They’ll see these words as sick and demented
Traitor
Heretic
Apostate
Sceptic
Doomed by religion
Because of my opposition
Into this milieu steps the man who would be king
His lust for power drives him to do anything
Easily he is able to exercise control and persuasion
He burns down the building amidst a standing ovation
