Speaking
So excited
Words tumble out
Set the scene just right
“It all started when…”
So excited
Building up
Can’t miss a detail
“Just as things were…”
Getting to the good part
Almost there

        — “Are you finished?”

Abrupt stop
Words evaporate
Thought retracts
Heart contracts

I am finished.
