What has happened
Nothing is clear
Strange-looking sights 
Fill me with fear

So much distortion
Eyes virtually blind
Disarray begets
Confusion in the mind

Struggle to adapt 
Strive to understand
Isolated stranger 
In a foreign land

Consumed by the urge
To escape and flee
How much longer
Until I can see

Nothing makes sense
As warped images spin
Overwhelmed by this world
Must seek refuge within
